honeym…hehe, just kidding…
i’m glad i finished the extended tales of our honeymoon. however, as i was writing, i couldn’t help but feel that the nature of those posts was extremely narcissistic. at least, enough to cause me a little discomfort. of course, i harbor no expectation that everyone (or anyone) must read my verbose posts. everyone will do as they please regardless of how much or how often i write. even nicole isn’t a regular reader. “i don’t like reading about myself,” she explained. nevertheless, i enjoy writing this stuff, and plan to continue to do so. i’m actually hoping i can get nicki to contribute one or two things at some point, too. i think her input will add some extra flavor. as for that feeling of narcissism, it certainly didn’t keep me from finishing what i’d started. hehe, it took more than a month, though, and now i can move on.
most readers are probably aware that we bought a new car. we traded in the hyundai tuscon for a bigger version: the hyundai veracruz. same color, more seats, more bells and whistles. it’s a nice vehicle. it’s a smoother ride. and it has a ‘mood light’, whatever that is. sunroof, seat warmers, xm radio. it’s a nice machine. of course, i’ve only driven it a block myself, but it was a great ride.
charlet has pretty much healed up from getting fixed. she only needed the cone on her head for the first few days.

like most dogs, she wasn’t very happy with the cone.

meanwhile, we’ll be in vegas in a couple of weeks to celebrate sheila’s 30th birthday (now that she admitted to knowing about this ’surprise’, i suppose we can talk about it). i’m looking forward to the trip, i’ve never been to vegas. it should be interesting. i’m sure i won’t get to do everything i’d want to do, but we’re only there a couple-few days. from what i’ve heard of the place, on the other hand, i’m sure it’ll be quite a memorable experience.
anyway, stay tuned, there’s more cool stuff in the pipeline. for the time being, at least, i’m planning to decrease the average length of these posts, but post more often instead. it’s always good to change one’s routine, wouldn’t you agree?
