click here if you would like to read the final copy of our wedding ceremony script. you need acrobat reader to open the file (if you don’t have it, download acrobat reader here.) the script was pulled from various sources on the internet and customized for our needs, with significant contributions by robert, nicole, and eric, plus vital input from maritza, sheila, megan, and others. if you’re interested in using any of the script for your own ceremony, feel free to do so. however, if you wish to use the poem contained within, you may do so if you credit robert fitzpatrick for the work. everything else within the script is considered public domain.

The Wedding Party:

Amy “Lou Retton”
Nicole’s sister and the matron of honor. Amy enjoys giving her sister advice, cleaning every fifteen minutes, and her Fry Daddy.

Eric “Monkee”
Nicole’s (and now Robert’s) brother-in-law and the officiator of the ceremony. Also, the man with the music. He was very busy that night, but somehow managed to have a lot of fun. Eric enjoys digital noise while playing on his computer and smoking cigarettes.

Sheila “Newman”
Nicole’s maid of honor. Sheila enjoys being a jock (football ROOLZ! GO DOLPHINS!), 2 Live Crew, and giving directions (”You screwed up.”).

Amanda “Mandy”
Nicole’s friend and bridesmaid. Mandy enjoys bullying eighth graders, decorating white clothing with Jaeger, and healing the sick.

Stephanie “Steph”
Nicole’s friend and bridesmaid. Steph enjoys slow-dancing with roses, old-school hip hop, and dessert (”Um, are you going to eat that?”).

Caitlin “Caitlin”
Nicole’s friend and bridesmaid. Caitlin enjoys brushing out her curly hair, the horses at Medieval Times, and sloppy joes.

Harley “H”
Robert’s friend and groomsman. H enjoys inconsiderate idiots at concerts, grading papers, and late night phone calls from his special friend Gloria.

Jason “Jman”
Robert’s hetero lifemate and groomsman. Jman enjoys tha funk, blackened catfish, and making song parodies.
