new page

we created ‘our wedding party’ page on sunday. this evening i added photos and rewrote some of the text. i don’t expect anyone to like their photos, although H seemed to approve (”you just had to use the shot glass picture, huh?” “yes. yes i did.” “ok. fair enough.”), so i’ll likely end up replacing all of them over the next year, but hey, whatcha gonna do. since posting the page, i’ve already changed two photos. also, as a courtesy, i removed everyone’s last names.

i showed the site to two of the members of the wedding party, and they sang praises (after i changed one of their photos, of course!).

in other news, i have to call the guy at the wine bar tomorrow. not the wine bar where we’re getting married, another one. the one where we’re doing our final engagement party. he wants to look over the menu with me and make a suggestion or two. i also have to call nicole’s photography connection and book our chosen photographer for the wedding. this is all normally her domain, which is ultimately the way we both prefer it, but since she’s currently out of town, the responsibility falls to me. it’s all good to me, i’ll probably do fine with all that stuff, but i just have to be careful that they don’t try to upsell me or something. anyway, once this is all over, we won’t have to deal with much for a number of months. maybe.

Umm… are you protecting the wedding party’s anonymity? Do we need that kind of protection from the rest of your friends and family? Gotta tell ya, not instilling a feeling of safety about this wedding. I’m a little scared to show.

I’m kidding, there’s no reason to be scared when you are packing heat.

    Love you both!

The site is coming along really nicely. Love your updates! However, all the names look funny with out the last name :) but I can appreciate other people’s privacy concerns…

yeah, there’s at least one member of the wedding party that is extremely concerned about online privacy after once getting burned by an employer.

i even have my own concerns–our last names do not appear anywhere in the public face of the site. i also don’t link this site to my own blog, or to any other site which would lead someone to connect my online identity to my real identity. i’m not concerned about my friends/family compromising my privacy, it’s random people that may visit the site. granted, random visitors will be few and far between, but still…
